From May 23 to May 25, Marina Bay Sands hosted this prestigious wine and spirits exhibition, marking Singapore's debut as the host city. Previously a biennial event in Hong Kong, Vinexpo Asia had temporarily halted due to the global pandemic.
Over the course of three eventful days, Vinexpo Asia 2023 served as the premier B2B trade event, providing wine producers with an exceptional platform to showcase their brands to influential buyers, importers, distributors, sommeliers, and merchants from the region and beyond. The exhibition garnered significant attention, attracting over 8,000 trade visitors, including importers, distributors, agents, wine merchants, sommeliers, e-commerce platforms, chain liquor stores, and travel retail representatives.
With 1,000 exhibitors representing 35 countries, Vinexpo Asia in Singapore brought together an impressive array of industry professionals. Prominent exhibitor countries included France, Italy, Australia, the United States, and Spain. Notably, the fair introduced a special public wine-tasting event, the Le Bettane+Desseauve Grand Tasting, held on May 22. This exciting occasion showcased over 100 top wines from more than 40 wineries, fulfilling the public's desire to experience the wine trade fair firsthand.
The Vinexpo Academy played a pivotal role in the event, offering a diverse range of masterclasses, conferences, and tastings, totaling over 52 hours of enriching content for attendees. Highlights included the IWSR conference, exploring global and Asian consumption trends, the Battle of the Sommeliers, and the Vinexpo Challenge.
Vinexpo Asia 2023 proved to be a dynamic and immersive experience, uniting industry professionals, wine enthusiasts, and the public to celebrate and discover the world of wines and spirits. With its successful relocation to Singapore, the event left a lasting impression on the industry landscape, creating valuable connections and fostering a renewed appreciation for the art of winemaking.
