From April 25 to 28, 2023, the highly anticipated Food & Hotel Asia (FHA) took place at the Singapore Expo, drawing a diverse array of exhibitors. The event featured 1,300 companies representing 45 countries and 68 international group pavilions, presenting an impressive collection of over 10,000 products. With a strong attendance of 50,221 visitors, FHA served as a bustling hub for networking and business opportunities. Over 3,800 productive meetings between buyers and sellers were facilitated, fostering valuable connections within the industry.


Notably, the event welcomed the China Pavilion, marking its first return to Singapore since the pandemic. Additionally, Finland and Uruguay pavilions made their debut in FHA-Food & Beverage, showcasing the event's global reach and ability to attract world-class suppliers to the Asian markets. FHA continues to establish itself as a prominent platform for the global F&B industry, creating an inclusive and world-class environment.


Renowned as the foremost international trade fair in the foodservice and hospitality industry, FHA showcased an extensive array of attractions, including Alternative Protein Asia, Food Technology, and ProWine Singapore. This grand-scale trade fair served as a dynamic platform for unveiling emerging food trends, market innovations, state-of-the-art hospitality technology, and sustainable practices. Complemented by enlightening seminars, enticing food sampling zones, enriching masterclasses, and exciting competitions, FHA effectively brought together the global food and hospitality community, fostering invaluable business connections, knowledge sharing, and enhanced trade opportunities within the industry.


Alternative Protein Asia (APA): Efforts towards Food Sustainability


This year's expo highlights the Alternative Protein Asia (APA) exhibition area, showcasing the increasing popularity of meat alternatives as a contemporary solution to food security issues. Dedicated exhibition zones and Tasting Bars provide guests with opportunities to sample innovative alternative protein products. The Alternative Protein Asia Seminar brings together industry professionals to share experiences and strategies for cultivating a sustainable future. With a focus on spotlighting alternative proteins to Asian audiences, the event aims to raise awareness and promote the adoption of these innovative food options.


Nurturing and Recognizing Talents of the Industry


The Young Talents Escoffier competition, a key component of the event, is dedicated to nurturing and educating the next generation of F&B talents. It serves as a platform to celebrate and honor emerging culinary talents under the age of 25. Ten teams representing countries including Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Macau S.A.R, New Caledonia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, and Vietnam will participate in these highly esteemed international competitions. In addition, FHA-Food & Beverage 2023 will extend its invitation to local students, offering them a valuable opportunity to explore the industry. To further recognize excellence, the event will also showcase the FHA Beer Awards, honoring outstanding brewers in categories like Wheat and Experimental Beers.
